Bert Rankin lives and breathes his passion for cars, including a thirteen year career working with John Davis, host of PBS television’s MotorWeek. Most recently, Bert created the ultimate car show fundraiser – MotorWeek CARnival, a resounding success, attracting 7,000 enthusiasts, over 500 show cars, and a collector car auction benefitting Public Television.
Bert is especially proud to have recently received a special Emmy award, as Director of Development at PBS, for Impact on the Community, recognizing his visionary leadership.
In addition, Bert has diverse experience in the automotive industry, maximizing customer satisfaction programs for Cadillac Motor Division, consulting for repair shop owners at Automotive Training Institute, and selling BMW, Mercedes, Lincoln and Honda brand automobiles. He also has extensive experience in automobile insurance, as a Nationwide Agent, an auto adjuster, and a district claims manager.
Bert and his wife live in beautiful Evergreen, CO and have two grown children. He enjoys volunteering in the community, as a member of the Foothills Rotary Club, Blue Spruce Kiwanis, and Evergreen Chamber.
Bert is an expert skier and certified instructor and loves to hike and bike with his family and three Chinese Crested dogs. He is an avid classic car collector, currently owning a rare ZR-1 Corvette and a supercharged Jaguar.
Bert graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Organizational Psychology, Magna Cum Laude, and completed International Studies at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
